Targets are necessary for enabling elite Fantasy RB finishes, and I think Jones has a real chance to push for 100-plus targets while enjoying a career-high route run total without Jamaal Williams around to block his shine. My belief in Jones' ability to realistically push for the top spot in Fantasyland is predicated on the continued development he has shown as a pass-catcher over the past three seasons. If you haven't seen that thread yet, I encourage you to check it out! I used advanced stats to highlight a player or two from each team that I'm excited for in 2021 and have been adding to it each day as we count down to the start of the season. I gave the full case for Jones reaching his RB1 upside in this Twitter thread. Aaron Jones will finish as the RB1 in Fantasy There are plenty of on-field obstacles standing in the way of a productive Fantasy season, assuming he's even able to find his way onto the field. But even if he is healthy, Golladay doesn't project all that much better than Meyers or Callaway. He could finish behind these two just because of missed time if the situation worsens. Golladay's recurring struggles with the health of his hamstring already are causing him problems to begin his tenure in New York, which is a major red flag. These two late-round options both have the potential to be tremendous values, while Golladay is among the worst picks at any position at his ADP. His spot could have just as easily belonged to Higgins though, whose rookie season provided several encouraging data points regarding his likelihood at a big-time Year 2 breakout. I'm so excited about Claypool's rookie season data that he is one of the 10 players I am not leaving drafts without. I have Godwin ranked as the WR24 for season-long leagues, which is well behind Tee Higgins (WR20) and Chase Claypool (WR21). He's being drafted as the WR15 as if 2020 never happened. His route tree changed drastically in his first season with Tom Brady at QB, and if his role is similar to what we saw in 2020, Godwin doesn't present much Fantasy upside.Īt his average draft position (ADP), Godwin found his way into my Do Not Draft List for the 2021 season. But I can't help but feel extremely wary about his Fantasy outlook as we head into the 2021 season. Like Higgins and Claypool, Chris Godwin is an awesome young player and one of my favorite wide receivers in the NFL. Tee Higgins and Chase Claypool will both outscore Chris Godwin Join SportsLine here to see Jacob Gibbs' 2021 Fantasy football rankings, sleepers, breakouts and busts, all from one of the nation's most accurate experts as graded by FantasyPros!
